Best Buy’s new round of December Doorbuster deals includes the elusive and very cool Lego Ideas: Home Alone model kit. The 3,955-piece Home Alone house Lego set is on sale for $240, which saves you $60 off its $300 list price. Deals on the Home Alone Lego set are exceedingly rare.
Best Buy offered the same deal during its Black Friday sale and sold out fast. In fact, this Doorbuster deal already sold out once last night, but Best Buy has it in stock again as of 9:30 AM PT on December 6.
$240 (was $300)
This replica of the McCallister house from the classic Christmas movie Home Alone is 10.5 x 13 x 14.5 inches. Two hinged front panels open to reveal an elaborately designed interior with multiple rooms, all of which are set up for Kevin’s pranks. The roof is also hinged, which helps when recreating pranks from the movie.
It comes with five minifigures: Kevin McCallister, Kate McCallister, Harry, Marv, and Old Man Marley. In addition to the house, the set includes smaller-scale builds of Kevin’s tree house and Marv’s and Harry’s van. Just like the movie, there’s a zip line that leads from the home to the tree house.
You can bring some of the most iconic moments from the movie to life, including the swinging paint cans scene, Kevin zipping down the stairs by sled–which is activated with a lever–and the (un)fortunate trick that ruined Harry’s hair. For this prank, Lego included a battery-operated furnace that glows (battery included). You can even pose the Harry minifigure in front of the bathroom mirror to see the results.
