Chinese Action Game Lost Soul Aside’s Gameplay Trailer Looks Like DMC Mixed With Final Fantasy

Ultizero Games has revealed a new gameplay trailer for Lost Soul Aside. It will launch for PS5 and PC in 2025, although no specific date was given yet. It’s an action game that looks like it plays similar to a Devil May Cry game with the visuals of a Final Fantasy game.

The trailer shows the main character, Kazer, in a snowy tundra setting fighting some big opponents, including some sort of ice monster and ice wolf. The gameplay features frenetic action and chaining together combos to pull off flashy attacks. It also looks like players will have a companion, as a woman is seen joining the heat of battle.

Now Playing: Lost Soul Aside – Gameplay Trailer

Not much is known about the story, but according to its Steam page, Kazer is off to save his sister as well as humankind from an invading dimensional threat.

Lost Soul Aside is part of PlayStation’s China Hero Project, which focuses on publishing games made by Chinese developers to an international audience. Other examples include FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch and Anno: Mutationem.

Lost Soul Aside was inspired by Final Fantasy XV. Independent developer Yang Bin shared a prototype of the game in 2016, which captured the attention of Sony and allowed him to establish Ultizero Games.
