Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two earned rave reviews when it hit theaters in May. Not only did critics love the film, but so did the audience, with the movie grossing over $700 million globally. You’ll now find a cool new way to bring the action to your home theater with the Dune: Part Two Limited-Edition Steelbook, which is exclusive to Walmart and is available for preorder ahead of its November 19 release.
Dune: Part Two’s original steelbook edition sold out months ago, so this new one will probably sell out before launch. In fact, Walmart has already sold through its inventory once before restocking. As of October 15 at 2:30 PM PT, Walmart is still taking preorders.
$30
Aside from a cool steelbook case for your collection, the new Dune: Part Two Limited-Edition Steelbook includes 4K, Blu-ray, and digital formats as well as the special features from the film’s original physical release earlier this year.
Bonus Features
Here’s the full list of bonus featurettes:
- Creating the Fremen World
- Chakobsa Training
- Worm-riding
- A new Set of Threads
- Finding the Worlds of Dune
- Becoming Feyd
- Buzz Around the New “Thopter”
- Deeper into the Desert: The Sounds of Dune
Dune: Part Two originally released on 4K Blu-ray in May. The first steelbook edition has been sold out for months and is now listed for frankly ridiculous prices by resellers. You can get Dune: Part Two on 4K Blu-ray without a steelbook case for $24.61 at Amazon. Dune: Part One is only $21 on 4K Blu-ray. Both of these standard edition releases come with 4K and standard Blu-ray discs as well as vouchers for the digital edition.
Alternatively, you can grab the Dune 2-Film Collection on 4K Blu-ray for $45 (was $55). This edition comes with both of Denis Villeneuve’s acclaimed adaptations in 4K Blu-ray and digital formats.
Dune: Messiah, the next film in the franchise and Villeneuve’s last as director, is in early production. Eager fans who want to return to Arrakis sooner should check out the vast and sprawling world of Dune novels and graphic novels.
Frank Herbert’s Dune Saga Novels
Frank Herbert’s original Dune Saga trilogy was reissued last year in gorgeous hardcover editions. You can buy the Dune Deluxe Editions individually or as a three-book set–the latter will save you roughly $10 overall and comes with an eye-catching display box. For a more budget-friendly option, check out the Dune 3-Book Box Set of paperbacks for only $13 (was $31). Alternatively, you can pick up the original trilogy as well as the next three books in the Dune Saga 6-Book Box Set for $55 (was $108). It’s worth noting that the paperbacks in the 6-Book Set are slightly larger than the ones in the 3-Book Set.
Dune Graphic Novels
If you’ve already read the novels, Brian Herbert (Frank Herbert’s son) and Kevin J. Anderson adapted the first Dune book into a three-part graphic novel, with Deluxe Collector’s Editions available for the first two.
Brian Herbert and Anderson also co-wrote the Prelude to Dune novel trilogy, which covers the events leading up to the start of the the original novel. If you prefer graphic novels, the writing partners began adapting Prelude to Dune in 2021. The first two books, House Atreides and House Harkonnen, are complete, and Volume 1 of the final story arc, Hosue Corrino, releases December 3.
