Marvel Rivals Will Have Cross-Platform Progression, Just Not Anytime Soon
Marvel Rivals recently launched across PC, PS5, and Xbox, with players being able to fight against their friends or online opponents with its cross-play features. A big thing still missing from the game is cross-progression, so players would have all of their progress saved across the different systems. Right now, each of your game’s progress is independent of the system you play it on.
As of now, there is no way of linking accounts to migrate everything into one place. However, the developers at NetEase Games know players want cross-progression and are working towards it. Unfortunately, it’s not the easiest thing in the world with a game like Marvel Rivals.

“Cross-progression involves a lot of platform-specific rules [and] we’re still looking at it and how to solve it,” said Marvel Rivals creative director Guangyun “Guangguang” Chen told Dot Esports. “Once the team is ready, once we’ve figured it out, we’ll be sharing to everyone and players will be the first to know.”
It took four years for this sort of feature to come to a game like Apex Legends, but hopefully, with the formula cracked, it’ll come sooner rather than later.
Earlier today, Marvel Rivals announced the first game event will be starting on December 20, with a Jeff-centric Winter Celebration. Marvel also announced an all-new Marvel Rivals digital comic series on the Marvel Unlimited app that premiered Monday.
