New Steam Demo Showcases The Blend Of Doom, Vampire Survivors, And Parkour That Is Dieseldome: Oil And Blood

What if the Roman Empire never fell, and instead discovered gasoline and gatling guns? This is the alternate history Turkish developer GHST Studios is presenting in Dieseldome: Oil And Blood, and a new demo has been released on Steam as part of Steam Next Fest.

Dieseldome mixes gameplay elements of Doom and Vampire Survivors, as it puts players in the role of a gladiator sentenced to death by combat. They then must fight their way through hordes of enemies in fast-paced first-person action where speed and mobility play a major part in each battle–the player can bounce off of obstacles and run along walls while fighting.

Defeating foes, completing parkour-style challenges, and winning “bets”–the Dieseldome equivalent of quests–earns XP, which unlocks power-ups for the rest of the run. At the end of a run, the player will receive in-game money, which can then purchase permanent upgrades for future runs.

Dieseldome’s new demo is part of Steam Next Fest, the regular event hosted by Steam which highlights up-and-coming indie games and their developers. The October 2024 Steam Next Fest event runs October 14-21, and some of the games featured in it include murder mystery The Rise Of The Golden Idol, 3D-platformer Virballs, and single-player MMO Erenshor.

Dieseldome: Oil And Blood will launch on PC, though a release window has not been announced as of this writing. The Steam Next Fest demo is available for download now.
